2010 at Pforzheim University, Mentoring: Prof. Michael Throm, Harald Koch
On the topic “Centre” I created this photo documentation of ca. 30 images during a three-day stay at a Catholic abbey. The series begins with images taken with a self-made pinhole-camera to show the secretive and mystical impression of a closed abbey. In a second step the series shows classical sacred symbols and the nuns dealing with their everyday activities. This comparison forms an interesting dialogue between the traditional aims an the modernization of the catholic church.
